A Formwork Spring Clamp is a
heavy-duty, spring-loaded metal clamp used in concrete construction to
temporarily hold together the molds (called formwork or shuttering) into which
wet concrete is poured. Its primary job is to prevent the formwork from bulging
or bursting open under the immense pressure of the liquid concrete.
We can provide customers for several models
of spring clamp, our product has the Key Characteristics:
HEAVY-DUTY CONSTRUCTION: These are not
the small, plastic clamps you'd find in a woodworking shop. They are made from
robust, often forged or high-tensile steel to withstand harsh site conditions
and high loads.
POWERFUL SPRING: The core of the clamp
is a very strong coil spring that provides the clamping force. The spring is
designed to be compressed with significant effort.
HANDLES FOR LEVERAGE: They have two
long handles that allow a worker to squeeze the clamp open against the force of
the spring.
JAW DESIGN: The jaws are typically
wide and sometimes serrated to get a firm, non-slip grip on the formwork
members (like timber walers or steel frames).
