POLYVINYL ALCOHOL FIBER

With people’s continuous development to high strength PVA fibers, it became more and more   useful, especially in cement and architectural materials, and fully reflected its good prospects.


1. PVA FIBERS CAN BE USED IN REINFORCEMENT, MAINLY DUE TO:

(1) High tensile strength and modulus.

(2)Good chemical compatibility with Portland cement.

(3)Hydrophilic, helps PVA fibers uniformly disperse in the cement matrix.

(4)There is a good interface bonding force between High-strength PVA fiber and cement matrix for the following reasons: A, The none circular and irregular section of this PVA fibers helps

expanding PVA bonding surface with cement matrix; B, The—C—Oh group in molecular structure of the PVA fibers and the—OH group in molecular structure of the cement hydrates

forms a strong hydrogen bridge.


2. THE REINFORCEMENT AND ARCHITECTURAL MATERIALS WHICH ARE MADE FROM HIGH 

STRENGTH PVA IS BASING ON FIBER REINFORCED HAS THE FOLLOWING ADVANTAGES:

(1) It has a good mechanical character, can improve the strength and impact of the architectural  materials. It can increase the flexural strength of the materials to 200%, the flexural strength

can be increased from 195kg/cm2 to 225kg/cm2, anti-fatigue can also improve flexibility and  prevent from cracking.

(2) It has good performance of acidoressistance,and is suit of all cements.

(3) It has good disperstiveness,make buiding material smart and infalling off.

(4) The deflection temperature and the cold resistance of the cement board and cement bricks   can be increase 50%.

(5) Improve operating conditions.

(6) The amount of PVA being used is only one-fifth of asbestos, so it can reduce the product per  unit weight.

(7) The permeability of the concrete is low; it can prevent the corrosion of reinforcing bars, so it  can’t be weathered easily, and less vulnerable to climate impacts.


3. THE HIGH-STRENGTH PVA FIBER’S USAGE:

(1) Strengthening the concrete of the buildings, such as cement board, sewer, positive view of the ground, parking lot etc.

(2) It is the ideal substitute for the cement and glass fiber.

(3) Fiber reinforcement for the interior decoration.

(4) Using in the special high-strength fabric, such as tiers, fishing nets, ropes, safety nets and transmission belts etc.

(5) Using in the strengthening for packaging.

Elongation :6.5%+0.5%

Decrement in 90°C hot water :1% max

Dispersion :1---3

Packing: in 200kg/bale, 8bales/pallet.
