WHAT IS AN ARMOUR JOINT?
Imagine a standard expansion joint in concrete—a gap filled with a flexible material. An Armour Joint reinforces this concept by adding steel or aluminum profiles (the "armor") to the edges of the concrete slab. This armor protects the vulnerable concrete edges from damage and provides a secure attachment point for the joint seal.
HERE IS A BREAKDOWN OF ITS KEY ASPECTS AND A TYPICAL INSTALLATION SEQUENCE:

MSARJS SINUSOIDAL SLIDE ARMOUR JOINT
It is a newly design. It not onlyhas traditional armor joint functions like concrete edge protection and forcetransfer with dowel plate system but also has a unique noise reductionfunction. When the wheels roll across the joint, joints will be free shockand significantly reducing the impact, there is no additional noise occurrencecompared to traditional straight edge armor joint. The system transfersvertical loads between adjacent floor slabs and minimizes vertical displacementof the slabs. It is ideal for high-bay floor and the floor where the AGVvehicle moves. Load transfer and resistances are guaranteed for joints withopenings of up to 30 mm. It is suitable for slab depths from 100 mm to 300 mm,and for slab sizes of up to 50 m by 50 m. Application: mainly used forindustrial building construction joint, transfer aisle and threshold position.

MSSAJ TYPE FLOOR STRIP ARMOUR JOINT
MSSAJ Type Strip Armor Joint is an
economical design. It provides the benefits of heavy duty joint armouringwhere
timber formwork is used.It consists of 1 or 240*10mm edge steels with shear
studs. When used,it isfixed to the top of the timber by screw for the duration
of the first concrete pour.It will remain in place oncetimber formwork is
removed.Different materials are also available for MSSAJ joints such as plain
steel, hotdip galvanized steel and stainless steel.Normally this strip joint is
suitable for larger joint opening up to 30mmand ideal for a wide range of
internal applications and all vehicle types.
